- Rated 2 out of 5by CplBDJ, 5 years agoNo longer works for intranet http servers even when on the whitelist! Research shows that this might now be a feature.
- Rated 2 out of 5by lyggo, 5 years agoWorked pretty well but I absolutely do not understand why you would remove the individual blocker for every website in the latest update. I had to manually downgrade the plugin. Auto-Update=off
- Rated 2 out of 5by odelphi, 5 years agoDon't like the new feature that takes away dynamic filtering to green list a site. Why should the developers care if we have "improper usage" (whatever that means) of dynamic filtering. The extension is on our computer, not yours. Also, what do you mean by "seeing way too many cases of improper usage of dynamic filtering . . ." How are you seeing anything? Are you spying on the usage of my own computer?
What I am seeing with this new feature is sites not coming up properly and I have to double-click "CTRL" anyway to get the site to work properly.
uBlock is a great extension, but it is slowly being ruined. Shouldn't be surprised - anything that is good and great eventually gets ruined. I understand the techie truism, "if you pay for technology, you are the customer, if you get it free, YOU are the product". Just thought uBlock was different. Ho-Hum, my bad. - Rated 2 out of 5by VIK, 5 years agoBlocks Twitch modules, half of the page is not displayed. Who knows where else this addon will screw up

- Rated 2 out of 5by MX, 5 years agoDebería de poder bloquear los anuncios de los buscadores, como bing o Google, pero por el resto de funciones, es el mejor adBlocker con diferencia.

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 15701315, 5 years agoDid and extensive testing of uBlock after the new permissions. I also compared with the previous version. The conclusion: Previous versions of uBlock did NOT track your IP and/or device. This new version that request new permissions, DO use your host name and access your IP.
There has been a lot of speculations about this recently. I have no idea what happened with uBlock, so I choose not to go into that. I can, however, confirm that there is data mining going on with this version. What happens with the user information (IP address, Host information / Name and Device information) I have no way to know from the tests. - Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14978750, 5 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by HonestReviews, 6 years ago12-21-24: Still good but gradually getting worse. slow to load. some pages cannot select image to delete-they are wise to this app. No way to load small widgets together have to waste time loading each one separatedly. Does not work on some pages.
8-8-24: developer must have been on Thorazine it is so SLOWWW. certain sites it's impossible to regedit the filters such that the same ads don't keep reappearing because the sites have figured out a way to rotate the ads that cannot be reg edited to defeat. example is gab.com.
I still don't see any ez way to report such problems to the developers. Slow to load and appear. slow to select portions of page to nuke. It's still good but not as good as it once was.
4-25-24 downgraded one star. Many sites are blocking it from functioning, including popular gab.com Slow to load and slow to work
12-28-23 Though still the best addon out there, is getting worse. Slow to call up selection box. Slow to mark parts of page to nuke, sometimes requiring three options to get a usuable reeult. Developer should rewrite code to automatically try the three selection options and use the one that works. But that may be too hard to do. Some pages appear to be incorporating their ad crap into the regular page code such that if you nuke the ad the page won't work right.
7-4-23 update: Gotten worse. Too Slow to respond. Doesn't work will all pages, developers have wisened up to it's tactics. Still no easy way to report pages that it does not work on. Just too damn slow to respond.
5-2-23: A lot slower than it used to be and may require multiple requests to get it to work. Some pages it will not work on as they keep repeating the offending ad over and over and addon has no effect.
10-2-22: no to easily report the sites it does not work on which are becoming more frequent.
8-1-22: demoted it one star because it cannot get rid of the popup on date in asia for cookies, not recognized by the program. Also no easy way I can find to report pages on which is DOES NOT WORK. Still the best ad blocker out there tho.
6-25-22: One of the VERY FEW addons that is really good. Some room for improvement. Websites are smart, they try to defeat it by making many small image adds requiring you block each on, a time waster. There are a few sites that cannot be blocked but very few. Need a way to report those?
Wish this developer did ALL addons cuz most of the others are crap/malware. Congratulations to the developer of this addon. good work.
UPDATE 9-29-21: A near perfect program that lately has some bugs. On site gab.com when you try to block an image/ad it will not display and HOLD the display long enough to select the filter for it. IOW, you select the image, the corresponding filter select either does not show up or you cannot put focus on it as it will then disappear, disallowing your attempt to select it for future blocking. Does not matter if you use the pen select icon or the lighting bold icon to select the image, result is the same,-cannot maintain box showing the filter for adding/saving it.
update 3-31-20. would now rate it one star less cuz it it asking for access to your IP to update it=not going to happen. Not giving them my ip. sorry.
best ad blocker available, easy to use, get rid of all the crap these idiot forum and other admins put on their page. Fast and quick. DO NOT CHANGE/FIX IT, it works good now. - Rated 2 out of 5by anonius, 6 years ago

- Rated 2 out of 5by Firefox user 14659722, 6 years agoTakes way too long on startup. Adds at least 5 seconds when launching browser, even if ublock is disabled for that site.
