- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 15314129, 6 years agoBest ad-blocker there is. I noticed all the bad reviews are written by those that don't want to take the time to learn how to use this ad-blocker properly. I'm still learning new things to do with this extension.
What I noticed is the zapper(the lightning bolt icon) only gets rid of the ads on the page you are on. It does not save the changes. You have to use the Element Picker Mode(the eye drop icon). This is what you need to use for efficient ad-blocking where the ads are still showing and you can block certain items on the site. It works great and allows you to create rules so the next time you visit the site or if you refresh the page it will still block the elements of the page you do not wish to see.
uBlock Origin is the first thing I install when using any web browser and it's the best. You cannot be concerned with your privacy if you are not willing to take the time to learn how to block popups on your own.
